Big Week at the Camp this week, even though we didn’t have any campers, we had several visitors this week or should I say workers. Had the first work day on Saturday, saving trees from the evils of the Texas Briar and Grapevine. Great turn out and want to thank everyone for coming out to help. It was a long day and a lot was done.

I received a call from a man earlier this week who said he attend Park Cities Youth Camp in 84, 85 and 86, that brought him to Camp Burnett. He wanted to come out and look at the camp, remember the events of his youth. We met at the camp and he walked around taking pictures remembering. He looked for his name in the rafters of the Rec Hall. It was obvious the camp meant a lot to him or actually the time he spent at the camp was important to him. It was a perfect example to me showing the importance of the Camp and the impact it has on the lives of the young visitors we have here. Great Day
